Two Years Full Time MASTERS DEGREE COURSE in
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA Programme)

 
     
 

RIMRD, under the Master of Business Administration programme, successfully prepares students for the demanding organizational roles of a diverse and rapidly changing world. The programme offers a broad based interactive curriculum and through training in business process that will equip them for decision-marking responsibilities in business, government and non-profit organizations. The learning strategies ensure that graduates master not only the basic tools and theories of business, but can apply business know-how to real life professional experience.

 
     
  Programme Objectives  
 

A)

To provide the corporate world with a competent human capital with necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to occupy positions in Management and Administration in Business, Industry, Public Services and the Government.

To impart latest and relevant knowledge from the field of management theory and practice.

To provide opportunities to the participants, within and outside institutions for leadership development.

To impart / develop the right kind of values and attitudes to function effectively in Managerial/ Administrative positions.

 
     
 

Admission Procedure
The students desirous to get admission to MBA (CET) must appear for the CET (Common Entrance Test), GD & PI conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra or the institute level exam conducted by the Association of Management of MBA/MMS institute (AMMI). Students who have appeared for MAT, XAT, ATMA, CAT can also apply to DTE for GD & PI.

Eligibility
Any graduate with 45% marks (40% for reserved category, graduated from University within Maharashtra) or those who are appearing at the final year degree examination in any discipline of statutory University.

Internship & Project work during Summer Vacation
The students of MBA have to pursue an industrial project in the area of their specialization i.e. Finance, Systems Marketing, etc. The project is for duration of two months during summer vacation after Semester II in the student's choice of industry.

As per Pune University norms an MBA student can opt for a specialization in any one functional area of management. Any one of the following groups can be selected in the III rd and IV th semester.

Each group will include 8 possible subjects for Sem III and Sem IV separately, The institute will float five out of them

 
     
  Project Work  
 

Each student shall have to undergo a practical training for a period of not less than 50 days during the vacation at the end of First Year.

Fees : As decided by Shikskan Shulka Samiti, Government of Maharashtra.

Payment of Fees : Fees must be paid in one installment by cash/DD in favour of Director RIMRD payable at Pune.

Cancellation : The rules for cancellation of admission and refund of fees are as given in MAH-MBA / MMS CET 2008 information brochure.

All original certificates & attested true copies (5 sets) are to be submitted at the time of securing the admission.

 
     
  *Candidates will have to submit any other certificates as will be stipulated by the DTE/ Pune University form time-to-time.  
     
 

Students who are appearing for the qualifying exams in April/May 2008 should submit their qualifying degree and mark-sheets to the office for verification as early as possible but not later than 30th September 2008.

Reservation

 
 

Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to SC/ST/DT/NT/OBC/etc. will be as per rules of the Maharashtra Government subject to the candidate meeting the admission requirement.

Commencement of Classes

 
  Classes will commence from 23rd August 2008. (Tentative date).

Aspiring candidates should ensure that they meet the eligibility conditions before purchasing the prospectus. Prospectus charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.

All admissions are subject to the truth of the details mentioned in the application form and supporting documents submitted by the candidates.

3.

All admissions are subject to clearance of eligibility by the University of Pune / DTE, on the basis of timely submission of prescribed documents listed in this admission prospectus and any other documents demanded by concerned authorities from time to time.

4.

A candidate is not eligible for any refund what so ever if he fails to pass the qualifying exam / entrance exam within the stipulated time.

5.

Admissions/ any fees paid cannot be transferred to any other course or individual.

6.

This prospectus is a conceptual document and the facts mentioned herein may change with the passage of time. Students and parents are advised to contact the office of the Institute and visit the campus to have a first hand look at the various facilities, meet the faculty members and students in person for any further information.

7. Any dispute in this respect will be subject to the jurisdiction of civil court Pune only.
